The Festival Concert Locations The Jazz Tent is located in front of the old coal ovens. The first coal oven was built in 1836 and stopped being used in the 1920s. The 11 ovens, which have remained preserved to this day, are part of the largest complete collection of coal ovens in Europe. There will be afternoon pizzas and evening concerts arranged in the Jazz tent. There will be evening concerts arranged also in the Mechanical workshop. The workshop was built in 1853 and it was in use until the 1950s. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Workshop will have jazz music playing. The Festival's blues/rock themed final concert will take place in the Workshop on Sunday. The Festival's jolly children's jazz will resound in the Workshop, as well. The outdoor concerts will be arranged at the melting pot ruins. The first melting pot was founded in Dalsbruk in 1686. It has been the basis for the area's rich and colorful history. A miniature model of the melting pot can be found in the Dalsbruk museum. A jazz church service will also be arranged at the melting pot ruins in cooperation with the Dragsfjärd church. Different bands' music will be playing daily on the Jazz street. The different concerts, which are arranged on the Jazz Street are free. In front of the old storehouses on the shore, and also on the jazz street which ends at the coal ovens, you will find a movie theatre called Bio Pony, where the atmospheric and intimate night concerts will be arranged. (It is claimed that the storehouses have been drawn by C.L. Engel) The festival's church concerts will be arranged in the beautiful church in Dalsbruk.
